how time changes us

I was looking through some of my photos and thought it was cool to see how time has changed my little ones.
I thought I would post a few pictures of them from the past 4 years from the
month of July.

Desert Beauties

We pass these purple cactus every time we go to the church...I think they are amazing! In the morning they are so purple and different.
This perfectly round one was so cute!
There were so many pears on this cactus...I had to snap a photo.
There are so many different types to choose from.

the cactus are blooming!

so says he...

My little carter has been crack'n me up lately. I am sure most of these are "you had to of been there moments"...but I must write them down for my sake.

Cedar prayer "please bless the baby in mom's belly that he will come out safely and so we can name him bob the builder. Please bless my brother and my girls".

Cedar's Prayer "please bless the baby can come out of my mom's belly and I can teach him to run real fast".

Cedar laughing, while listening to the song "I just died in your arms tonight".....

"Mom, did you hear that? the song said I just died in your arm tonight. How can he fit into your arm and die? That's funny". as he points to his forearm!

Cedar 2 nights ago while reading a book to him
"MOM, you have a cute smile".

Mr. Gymnast

As of this morning...little Boy Hallows ducked his chin and put his head back to where it needs to be.
I was so happy to get the news from the dr. that we have a head down baby, again.

If he will only stay in place for a few more weeks!

Pioneer Day

Yesterday I got a call that kind of sent me into tears...simply from the reality point of view and the fact that HE IS COMING.
I look at my baby counter on the left hand side of this blog and my calendar and it says 19 days left....but when My phone rang and it was the doctors office announcing the date of my schedule c-section it just about knocked me off my chair.

THEM: "Hello rennie, This is the scheduling office at blah blah blah's office, we have your c-section scheduled for JULY 24th...more info will be given to you over the next week, but that is the estimated date of surgery".

ME: "Stutter something, stutter something else and finally say OKAY"

That's only 14 days away!

There is a lot to do in 14 days!
YIKES and GadZooks

I am Still planning on having this baby boy do a large flip and all together pass on the belly being sliced open.

What a Breech!!!

Yesterday at my weekly doctors appointment I found out that little boy Hallows wants to be BREECH....just like his older bro was. I am not impressed!

I have to say I am slightly, okay really disappointed in the fact that I may not get to experience a vag childbirth again. I know that sounds strange, but seriously I enjoy them so much more than c-section. I had my 2 girls regular..then c-section then my last baby was again normal...NOw the 5th and final baby might be again...c-section! (BIG UGH!!)

Just 2 days ago I felt the babies back, bum and head on the right side of my tummy and then yesterday...everything was backwards. Big BUMMER!

I had a strange feeling when I went into the doctors office this time that I might hear something like that. Maybe, just maybe when I thought it and put it out in the universe it came back to bite me. So now all I have to do is undo the universes decisions and turn that baby back. My doctor suggested I see the doctor that could perform the great "turning of the baby". But after the consultation neither one of us (dr and myself) were too thrilled with the try. So we ruled that out!

However, I did get an ultrasound yesterday that helped my uneasiness with how the baby was growing and looking. Baby boy is measuring around 7.5 pounds right now and looks great! In fact while the ultra sound was being done we could see the babies chest moving up and down and little bubbles coming from his nose and mouth. So cute!

Anyhow...over the next few weeks we should know how he will be entering the world...I will keep you posted.
I am just praying for no more Breeches!!
(if you catch my drift!)

July 4th in a nutshell!

We had a great time over the 4th of July weekend....

Our 4th of July celebrations started early that week with a quick drive to Lordsburg, New Mexico for some fireworks for the boys ranch. We took our time with the drive, had lunch, bought the annual arsenal of fireworks and then headed home. Luke did a great job in picking the most perfect and beautiful ones...it was so much fun to watch them with our small 40+ audience on the Ranch.

We spent the 3rd of July swimming and playing with the family and waiting for friends to come stay.

Our July 4th was all about eating, swimming, napping and then a trip to ARivaca for the Boys Ranch's firework show! All that the 4th of July should be about!

One of the many pit stops the pregnant mama had to make!

Our home was privileged to have our friends, the Bryce Family from Gilbert visit!!! It's always a good time with their family. Of course we had to spend a few hours at the pool to wear the kids out for the night...oh yeah and me!

Carter spent 2.5 hours on these slides.

A beautiful mountain that sits north of Arivaca! It is my compass for where I need to go when in that area. Although I swear it moves all the time.

All of the kids waiting for the fireworks to get started!

While the fence was lined with kids we kept hearing them yell....

"Fire in the hole!!"

oh my love

June marked 12 years of marriage to my lovey!

Hip Hip Hooray for US!

We were talking the other day about who were once were, back 12 years ago. I remember when we were getting our announcement photos taken and I think back about those 2 people that sat there thinking that they knew all there was to know about each other....we had a lot to learn.
I knew I loved Lukey
I knew I wanted to marry him forever
I knew he was my best friend
I knew that he was a good, honorable Priesthood holder
I knew I loved his family
I knew that he was hilarious and made me smile
I knew that he made me feel full of love

and I knew that he was all I wanted in my life. But isn't it funny to look back and realize there was so much more to know! Love is a funny thing!

Now...12 years and 4.5 children later I am so glad there was so much more to know about him. I have learned so much and love him even more. We have lived many places and done many things and it's been such an adventure...which has all been a blast and so much fun.

To me...it seems like we were married just years ago.

To him...he feels like it's been forever....he says he can't remember life without me! (ahhh)

I love the process of learning new things about ourselves and each other....it's a wonderful thing.
Oh...LOVE,

I love LOVE!
I Love MY LOVE!
