Hawaii or Bust

We were so fortunate to travel to Hawaii to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary. We decided to jump on board am already planned vacation with Luke's sister and Bro-in-law. We were so glad that we did. The only thing that really stunk was that our kids weren't with us....wait, did I really say that. Actually, we love the children, but dang it was nice to not change a stinky diaper for 5 days, to pack my bag full of other things besides diapers and wipes, to not have to carry a stroller everywhere, to not have to stop for potty breaks, to only get mad at Ace and Gary's antics rather than the kids fighting with eachother.
REALLY, we did missed our babes badly, but I think every couple needs to rekindle the LOVE every so often. I think that it's important to see eachother as a spouse once in awhile rather than a parent. It's a different picture sometimes.
Well we had a blast and can't wait to go back in another 10 years. For all of you that have seen these pictures...lo siento!

These were pretty tasty. Little fried pastries with custard or chocolate inside. Yummy Acai Bowls! These were amazing bowls with this berry from Brazil, granola, bananas and honey. And they were huge!
At the Luau on the south of the Island...we went because Ruby's friends were the performers and they were so nice. They got us from the crowd and made us do the Hula Dance.

While we were all visiting my parents I decided to go for a hike. We headed off the 3 falls in Hurricane Utah. The problem was that we left at about 2pm and took only a little water. Luckily for us, it wasn't a terribly long hike. There are many cave along the way and a canal that the city used to use. Pretty neat stuff.
The 9 annual Goulding Reunion was in SLC. The kids were able to see Temple Square for the first time. It had been a long time since I had been there. Perfect weather and wonderful time.

The hippies have arrived in style. For one of the activities we all made tie-dye shirts....fun and messy. The funniest part was watching my dad create his. He knew the colors he wanted to use and started dumping them on his shirt, not really paying attention to what was happening to the run off. Huge puddles of dye all over the counter-tops. Luckily, Aunt Robbie was prepared for just that type of over zealousness. And you know....Dad's shirt probably turned out the very best.
